As part of Unity Core Standards, through UPM publishing we will verify your identity and business information so users can have trust in your business’ legitimacy.. Asset Store users will see a badge of your verified status in both the Asset Store and in the Package Manager. UPM publishers also receive a unique namespace in the Unity Editor, validated in Package Manager, to indicate that your packages are reviewed, signed and distributed by the Unity Asset Store.

Easily manage dependencies and compatibility details

UPM packages let you declare dependencies that will be automatically installed with your UPM package. They also surface key package compatibility metadata, helping users confidently evaluate, install, and integrate your tools without breaking their projects.

Unlock multi-package products

UPM packages are referenced by the project in the Packages cache, instead of imported into the Assets folder, thus reducing the user’s project size. Additionally, with UPM packages, you can offer multiple packages as a single product offering. This allows you to create multiple release streams, whether it’s targeting different Unity versions or build targets, or bifurcating the use case of your product. This added flexibility in product creation and delivery let’s you provide users what they actually need, without the added bloat.
